Marius grew up in Vancouver and obtained his J.D. from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in January of 2012.
A lifelong gamer, Marius’ practice focuses on video game and esports law. He has been on the forefront of assisting the developing esports industry in British Columbia and works closely with numerous local esports companies, as well as athletes and content creators. He is a member of the Esports Bar Association and also writes for The Patch Notes, an esports and video game law blog. In addition to his esports practice, Marius also works with numerous local video game studios, helping them with anything from incorporations to major corporate transactions and everything in between.
In addition to his esports and video game law practice, Marius also has extensive experience in general corporate and commercial law, focusing primarily on emerging technology companies, as well as business immigration and commercial real estate law, and is able to provide his clients with assistance on a wide range of matters. Marius takes a down-to-earth approach to the practice of law, and prides himself on finding practical, creative and efficient solutions to his clients’ legal issues.
